The Venom HC U18 AAA program is proud to announce the signing of local Abbotsford forward Jacob Dhaliwal to the 2025-26 roster. Jacob, who served as captain of his U15 A2 team last season, has shown remarkable growth in his game over the past year — and after a strong showing at last weekend’s main camp, has officially earned a spot with the club.

Known for his leadership, maturity, and high hockey IQ, Jacob impressed coaches and staff with his speed, work ethic, and commitment to team play throughout the tryouts. His on-ice awareness and ability to make smart plays under pressure stood out, showcasing the kind of potential the Venom HC program is proud to develop.

“Jacob has made incredible strides over the last year,” said Venom HC General Manager Brady Douglas. “He’s a great example of what dedication and coachability can do for a young player. He has leadership qualities, plays the game the right way, and we believe his journey is just getting started. Whether it’s pursuing junior hockey or chasing a scholarship through academics and athletics, we’re excited to help guide him over the next few years.”

Jacob will wear #88 this season as he takes his game to the next level with Venom HC. The organization is thrilled to welcome a hometown talent who represents the character and ambition the program stands for.

Welcome to the squad, Jacob!
