From Abbotsford to AAA: Caspian Webber Joins Venom HC

ABBOTSFORD, BC – The Abbotsford Venom HC are excited to announce the signing of local forward Caspian Webber to the club's 16U AAA roster for the 2026/27 season. The Abbotsford, BC native, born in 2011, stands at 5'8", 115 lbs and joins the Venom after a strong season with the Abbotsford Hawks U15 A2, while also continuing his development this spring with the 16U Sharpshooter Academy.

Webber first caught the attention of the Venom coaching staff late in the 2025/26 season when he joined the organization's U18 AAA team following the conclusion of his minor hockey season. Competing against older players, Caspian demonstrated maturity beyond his years, earning additional opportunities at the club's final two ID Camps.

"He's a high-character young man who always brings a positive attitude and a smile to the rink. He has a very good hockey IQ, competes hard every shift, wins battles in all three zones, and has a knack for creating scoring opportunities for both himself and his teammates. We believe he's only scratching the surface of his potential," said President & GM, Brady Douglas.

As a local Abbotsford product, Webber's signing is another important step in the Venom HC's commitment to providing elite development opportunities for players in the Fraser Valley. The Venom HC believes Webber's work ethic, hockey sense, and commitment to improving will make him a valuable addition to the 16U AAA roster as he continues progressing toward the junior ranks over the coming seasons.

The Abbotsford Venom HC would like to officially welcome Caspian and his family to the Venom organization and look forward to watching his continued growth both on and off the ice throughout the 2026/27 season.
