Venom HC Bolsters 19U Crease with Signing of Graydon Holowachuk

ABBOTSFORD, BC — Venom HC AAA is proud to announce the signing of 2008-born goaltender Graydon Holowachuk of Medicine Hat, Alberta, to the 2026/27 NAPHL 19U AAA roster.

Holowachuk joins Venom HC after an impressive 2025/26 season with the Medicine Hat Hounds U18 AA program, where he established himself as a dependable and consistent goaltender, posting a 1.09 goals-against average and a .915 save percentage over 12 games.

His strong season earned Graydon an opportunity to attend the Creston Valley Thunder WIJHL Main Camp, where he continued to showcase his ability against Junior-level competition. During two exhibition games against Kelowna, Holowachuk delivered an outstanding performance. In his first appearance, playing half of the game, Graydon recorded a shutout while making 22 saves. In his second exhibition appearance, he again played half of the game and stopped 31 of 35 shots.

Following his strong showing at camp, the Creston Valley Thunder have offered Holowachuk an AP position for the 2026/27 WIJHL season, providing him with an important opportunity to continue gaining Junior-level experience while developing full-time with Venom HC throughout the season.

“Graydon is an extremely hard worker, he is a great teammate, and he has already shown that he can step into a Junior environment and perform. His camp with Creston Valley was a great opportunity for him, and earning an AP position speaks to the work he has put in. Beyond his ability in the crease, what really stood out to us was his character. Graydon is noticeable amongst his teammates as a leader, he works extremely hard every day, and he carries himself the right way both inside and outside the rink. Those qualities are just as important to us as his performance statistics.” said President/GM & Head Coach, Brady Douglas.

Holowachuk will provide Venom HC with a competitive presence in the crease while continuing to work toward the next level through the club's NAPHL 19U AAA schedule, practices, showcases and Junior hockey development opportunities. His AP opportunity with Creston Valley also creates a valuable pathway for Graydon to receive Junior exposure throughout the season while remaining committed to his development with Venom HC.
