From Russia to Canada: Fedor Artamonov Joins the Abbotsford Venom HC

Abbotsford, BC – The Abbotsford Venom HC is proud to announce the signing of Fedor Artamonov from Russia for the 2026/27 19U AAA season.

Artamonov joins the Venom after an outstanding season with Armada U17 AAA (Tier 1), where he recorded 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points in just 29 games, establishing himself as one of the league's most dangerous offensive threats.

Fedor is making the move to Canada to continue his development, compete against top North American talent, and pursue opportunities at the junior level. The Abbotsford Venom HC is excited to be part of the next chapter in his hockey journey.

"After speaking with Fedor's agent and watching extensive video of his game, we knew he was a player we wanted in our program," said Brady Douglas, President & General Manager of Abbotsford Venom HC. "His offensive instincts immediately stood out. He has excellent speed, tremendous accuracy with his shot, and a natural ability to find the back of the net. What impressed us just as much was his commitment to playing a complete 200-foot game. He's responsible defensively, competes hard in every zone, and has the skill set to make an impact at both ends of the ice."

Artamonov's combination of skating ability, offensive creativity, and two-way awareness makes him an exciting addition to the Venom roster as the organization prepares for its inaugural season competing in the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL).

The Venom HC continues to attract elite talent from across Canada and around the world, providing players with high-level coaching, exposure to junior scouts, and a proven development pathway to the next level.
