The Abbotsford Venom Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of Prince George, British Columbia, native Evan Jensen to a contract with the 19U AAA team for the 2026-27 season.
Jensen arrives in Abbotsford after a strong campaign with Prince George U18 AAA, where the 6’2”, 205-pound defenseman recorded 5 goals and 9 assists for 14 points in 14 games, showcasing his ability to contribute offensively while maintaining his identity as a hard-nosed, physical defender.

Standing at 6’2” and weighing 205 pounds, Jensen brings a rare combination of size, strength, and compete level to the Venom blue line. Known for his willingness to finish checks, win battles along the boards, and make life difficult for opposing forwards, he plays the game with an edge while using his physical tools to shut down opponents and create momentum for his team.
While his numbers speak for themselves, it is Jensen’s character and leadership qualities that truly stood out throughout the recruitment process. He is a player who competes every shift, leads by example, and embodies the type of culture the Abbotsford Venom Hockey Club is committed to building.
“Evan is a tremendous addition to our organization,” said the Venom President/GM, Brady Douglas. “He’s a player that brings size, toughness, and a relentless work ethic every day. More importantly, he’s a high-character young man who we believe will have the opportunity to become a leader within our room. We expect him to help drive standards and be a player that our group can rely on in all situations.”
Jensen is expected to play a major role on the back end for the Venom this season and is viewed as a player capable of leading the charge both in team rankings and future leadership opportunities.
The entire Abbotsford Venom family is excited to welcome Evan and his family to the organization as preparations continue for the 2026-27 NAPHL season. Evan will be wearing #4 this upcoming season.
Welcome to the Snake Pit, Evan.
