The Venom HC U18 AAA program is proud to announce the signing of forward Marek Lowndes from Quesnel, BC, to the 2025–26 roster.

Lowndes made a strong impression at our recent U18 Main ID Camp, showing both skill and character that align perfectly with the team’s core values. Despite a season-ending injury in November, he’s come back hungry, determined, and ready to make an impact at the U18 level.

Last season, Marek was a standout player for the Quesnel A1 program. He had a breakout year prior to his injury, showcasing his high-end scoring touch, sharp playmaking ability, and elite-level hockey sense. His speed and vision make him a dynamic threat every time he touches the puck.

Beyond his abilities on the ice, Marek brings tremendous value to the team as a person. Known as a natural leader, he’s someone teammates rally around — a hardworking, humble player who leads by example and raises the standard in the dressing room. It’s no surprise he’ll be wearing #77 this season.

“Marek is exactly the kind of player and person we want in our locker room,” said GM Brady Douglas. “He brings the compete level, the skill, and the leadership that builds championship teams. After everything he’s overcome this past season, we’re confident he’s going to have a big year and begin paving the way toward his goal of playing junior hockey in the next two seasons.”

Welcome to the Venom, Marek!
