Saturday began with a hard-fought matchup against a disciplined Stars U18 group. Despite limited scoring, Venom made important gains in:

  • Managing pressure against a structured opponent

These types of games build the habits that matter throughout the season.

  • Game 4 vs Stars U17 — Evening

The second game of the day came with a strong pace and physical intensity. Venom showed strong compete levels, particularly late in the game, with key defensive minutes played by multiple forwards and defencemen. Players battled through fatigue and executed well on both the forecheck and penalty kill.

Off-Ice Team Moments

A major part of any showcase is the time spent together away from the rink. Throughout the weekend, the team strengthened their chemistry through:

  • Post-game meetings and video review

  • Meals shared as a group

  • Supportive conversations after tough periods or games

  • Light moments and team bonding that can only happen on long trips

These off-ice connections are vital to the culture and compete level that Venom HC continues to build.

  • Ethan Nagy — 5 Points vs Thunder HC

A breakout performance that stood out league-wide, with elite speed, finish, and playmaking.

  • Jayvry Arcand-Auigbelle — 4-Point Showcase

A consistent threat across all four games and a key driver of Venom’s offence as a brand new player.
