The Venom HC AAA U18 program is excited to officially announce the signing of Kingston Van Tongeren from Chilliwack, British Columbia, to our 2025 U18 AAA roster.

What sets Kingston apart is not just the technical improvement in his game, but the well-rounded player he’s becoming. His skating has taken a major step forward, giving him both speed in transition and control in high-pressure moments. He’s elevated his hockey IQ and playmaking ability, making smarter decisions with the puck and showing a growing awareness away from it. Defensively, he competes hard, and offensively, he's developing the instincts of a high-end forward. This complete evolution is exactly what the Venom HC AAA program looks for in a player.

“Kingston’s development curve over the past year is exactly what we love to see in this program,” said Venom HC President and General Manager, Brady Douglas. “Every player develops at their own pace, but when you see someone commit the way Kingston has—and then back it up with performance and leadership—it’s impossible to ignore. He’s become a player our team will rely on this season, and one who leads by example.”

Kingston will be wearing jersey #7 this season as he takes on this next challenge. But his goals don’t stop here—he’s setting his sights on earning a spot at the Junior level by 2026/27 season. With his trajectory and the exposure our program offers through our network of Junior affiliations and showcase opportunities, we are confident that Kingston will be in a great position to achieve that next step in his hockey journey.

The Venom HC AAA U18 staff and organization are incredibly proud to welcome Kingston Van Tongeren and his family to the team. We believe he will be a major asset on the ice, a positive influence in the locker room, and a strong presence throughout the 2025 inaugural season.

Welcome to the Venom, Kingston—let’s make it a season to remember.
