Venom HC Brings Lytton’s Rylan Adam-James Into 19U AAA Fold

Abbotsford, BC — Venom HC AAA is proud to announce the signing of Lytton, BC forward Rylan Adam-James to the organization’s 19U AAA roster for the 2026/27 season.

Adam-James, a 2007-born forward, joins Venom HC after gaining valuable experience playing Junior hockey last season. In 2025/26, he suited up in 26 games at the USPHL Premier level, recording 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points. After attending Venom HC’s July ID Camp, the coaching staff quickly identified a player with a strong foundation and an intriguing upside.

“Rylan was one of those players our coaches really took a liking to throughout the ID Camp,” said Venom HC President & GM, Brady Douglas. “You could see right away that he is a very smart hockey player. He has the ability to read the play before it happens, make plays through pressure and make some really good passes, especially when breaking the puck out. His skating stride also really stood out to us.”

While Adam-James already has experience playing at the Junior level, Venom HC believes the next step in his development is returning to a structured development environment where he can continue building his physical game while maximizing his hockey IQ. The Venom coaching staff sees Adam-James as a player who can potentially take significant strides throughout the 2026/27 season, with an opportunity to return to Junior hockey as a more complete and prepared player.

A major component of that pathway will be Venom HC’s relationship with its Junior A partner, the Western International Junior Hockey League (WIJHL), as well as the opportunity for Venom players to gain exposure to Junior hockey throughout the season.

“Having Junior experience already under his belt, Rylan understands what that level looks like,” Douglas said. “Our goal is to help him become an even better version of himself and put him in a position to earn another Junior opportunity. With our partnership with the WIJHL and the access to its 10 teams, there are going to be opportunities for our players to be seen and potentially AP throughout the season.”

For Adam-James, the upcoming season represents an opportunity to return to a development environment, take on a significant role and continue building toward his next level of hockey.
