Venom HC Bolsters Goaltending with Signing of Nick Jarman

Abbotsford, BC — July 30, 2026 — Venom HC 19U AAA is excited to announce the signing of Langley, BC goaltender Nick Jarman for the upcoming 2026/27 NAPHL season.

The 6’2”, 175-pound netminder joins Venom HC after an impressive season with the Langley Eagles U18 A3, where he appeared in 12 games and posted a 2.85 GAA and .924 save percentage.

Jarman has also spent the past year working closely with Assertion Goaltending, Venom HC’s goaltending development partner, and the results have been evident. Over the last year, Nick has taken significant leaps in his development, particularly in his structure, positioning, crease movement, and overall approach to the position.

“Nick's work ethic and willingness to constantly improve really stand out. He’s a big goaltender with a strong foundation to his game, and we believe the NAPHL will provide him with the exposure and competition he needs to take another big step.” said President/GM, Brady Douglas.

Jarman also attended the PJHL Ironmen Junior A Tier 2 Camp this summer, where he put together a strong performance and caught the attention of Venom HC Goaltending Coach Tyson Brouwer.

“Nick’s structure is one of the first things that stands out,” said Brouwer. “His crease work and positioning are strong, and he does a great job of making himself big in the net. There are a lot of tools there to work with, and I’m excited to see how much further he can take his game this season.”

For Jarman, the 2026/27 season represents an important next step toward his ultimate goal of playing Junior A hockey.

With the NAPHL schedule providing exposure against teams and programs throughout Western Canada and beyond, Venom HC believes Jarman will have an opportunity to showcase his abilities in a competitive environment while continuing his development.

“Nick has the mentality we look for in our players,” added Douglas. “He wants to be the best version of himself every day. His leadership, work ethic and commitment to getting better are going to make him a great addition to our room. We know that if he continues to put in the work, he is going to create some very good opportunities for himself at the Junior level.”
