FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Abbotsford, BC — The Venom HC AAA Program is proud to announce the signing of 2012-born goaltender Jacob Sheardown to the organization’s 16U team as a developmental goalie for the upcoming season.

A native of Aldergrove, British Columbia, Sheardown joins the Venom following a strong season with the U15 A1 Aldergrove team. He recently attended the Venom ID Camp, where he quickly made an impression on staff—beginning with his goaltending session with Assertion Goaltending.
“Jacob showed us a lot in a short period of time,” said Brady Douglas, President/GM. “For his age, he has a tremendous foundation and even more upside. His work ethic, attitude, and willingness to learn stood out right away. Jacob has made an important commitment to his development. This is where the pathway begins, and we’re excited to be part of his journey as he works toward his long-term goals.”
Sheardown will join the 16U roster in a developmental role, where he will focus on refining his skills through team practices and dedicated one-on-one sessions with the Venom Goaltending Coach, Tyson Brouwer and limited games next season. This structured development path is designed to accelerate his growth and prepare him for higher levels of competition.

With aspirations of playing junior hockey, Sheardown sees this opportunity as a key step forward. The Venom HC AAA Program continues to build a strong foundation of young talent committed to development, competition, and advancement to the next level.
Welcome to the Venom, Jacob.
