Set to begin play for the 2026-2027 season, Venom HC AAA will enter its first season in the NAPHL. Venom HC is from Western Canada, based out of Abbotsford, BC. They will enter the teams into all boys’ divisions, which include 19U and 16U.
The Venom HC Organization will join the NAPHL with experience in the hockey world, running their organization. The focus of the program will be on player development through the week with practices and off-ice 1-on-1 training. They will play in Weekend Showcase Tournament games, Regular Season games and Exhibition games. Each team will enter 4-5 showcases in the NAPHL (4 games per), while additional league home and away games will be held throughout BC, Calgary, Colorado, Ontario, Quebec, and the Eastern United States. Both the 16U & 19U teams anticipate having a 40-50-game competitive schedule for the 2026-2027 season
“At Venom HC, our coaching staff is built on experience, credibility, and a true passion for player development. Our coaches come from Major Junior, Collegiate, and Professional hockey backgrounds and are carefully selected for their hockey IQ, teaching ability, and character. With over a decade of experience coaching AAA, Select, and elite programs across British Columbia and Alberta, our staff is committed to developing complete players—on the ice, in the classroom, and in life—while instilling the habits, structure, and mindset required to win.” —Brady Douglas, President & GM of Venom HC AAA.
The Venom HC AAA Program’s objective is to recruit players who are motivated to improve their game and play in this program before they move on to a higher level of hockey. The focus of the recruiting efforts is on players looking for Junior hockey opportunities and NCAA/U-Sports placement down the road. The structure of the program playing in the NAPHL will give them plenty of exposure to Junior and University scouts. Many players need time to develop, and this program gives them an opportunity to do that until they are 19 years old.
“The NAPHL is excited to add the Venom HC organization, from Western Canada, to their list of great programs, and we're looking forward to a very competitive season said Commissioner Anthony Miele.” “We are extremely excited to be joining the NAPHL and providing our players with a highly competitive environment built on structure, consistency, and professionalism. The league’s organized scheduling, elite level of play, and well-operated showcases create the ideal platform for player development and exposure. This opportunity allows our program to compete against top-tier competition while ensuring our players and families are part of a first-class experience both on and off the ice,” said President & GM, Brady Douglas.
