Venom HC AAA Announces Signing of Derrion Litchfield to 19U AAA Team

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Abbotsford, BC — Venom Hockey Club is proud to announce the signing of Bellingham, Washington native Derrion Litchfield to the organization’s 19U AAA team for the upcoming season.

Litchfield first made an impression with Venom HC during two exhibition appearances last season, where he recorded multiple points in limited action. More importantly, his comfort level and impact grew noticeably with each shift, showcasing his ability to adapt to the speed and pace of the AAA level.

He further solidified his place on the roster with a strong performance at the organization’s April ID Camp. Litchfield demonstrated a physical presence, leadership qualities, and an ability to quickly build chemistry with returning players—key traits that align with the team’s identity heading into the new season.

During the 2025 campaign, Litchfield competed with the Bellingham Blazers U18 A1 program, where he played a pivotal role in his team’s success, including capturing the Abbotsford U18 “A” Rep Tournament championship. His performance also earned him recognition at a higher level, being selected to the PCAHA Scholarship Flames Rep Team, where he helped secure a Bronze medal.

“Derrion is a player who continues to trend upwards. We saw growth in his game even in a short sample last season, and his ID Camp performance confirmed that he’s ready to take the next step. He brings a physical edge, competes hard, and has the character traits we value in our locker-room,” said President & GM, Brady Douglas.

Venom HC looks forward to continuing Derrion’s development and welcoming him full-time to the lineup this season as he wears #14.
