The Venom HC U18 AAA program is proud to announce the signing of Kamloops-born forward Mason Haywood-Farmer to the 2025–26 roster.

Coming off a solid season with the Thompson Zone U15 AA program, Mason made an undeniable impression during our recent Main ID Camp. His combination of high-end speed, natural playmaking instincts, and on-ice awareness made him stand out every time he stepped on the ice. Coaches and evaluators consistently took notice, not only of his offensive upside but also of his attitude and approach to the game.

“Mason was one of those players that just kept catching your eye,” said GM Brady Douglas. “He plays with energy, he moves the puck well, and he clearly wants to keep growing. He fits the culture we’re building here.”

More than just a talented skater, Haywood-Farmer earned the respect of his teammates and coaches with his character and team-first mindset. His willingness to take feedback, engage with others, and compete shift after shift showed a maturity beyond his years. That hunger to get better and push himself to the next level is a big part of why he’s earned a spot on this year’s roster.

With goals of advancing to junior and beyond, Mason’s commitment to his development is clear. We’re excited to welcome him to the Venom family and look forward to supporting him as he continues his hockey journey.

Wearing #11 this season, please welcome Mason to the Venom!
