The Venom HC AAA Program would like to share an important update regarding leadership and the direction of our U18 team as we move into a critical stretch of the season.

Effective immediately, Brady Douglas has stepped down as U18 Head Coach and will transition into his role full-time as President & General Manager of the Venom HC AAA Program. This strategic move allows for increased focus on the long-term growth of the organization, including player scouting, new partnerships, and program expansion, as well as preparation for the 2026/27 season and beyond.

This transition is designed to strengthen Venom HC at every level and ensure the program continues to move forward with clarity, structure, and vision.

Interim Head Coach Announcement

We are excited to announce that Brendan Werbin will step in as Interim Head Coach of the U18 team for the remainder of the season.

Brendan has been a key part of our staff this year, doing an excellent job in his role as Video Coach. His attention to detail, preparation, and commitment to player development have earned the trust of both players and staff. Brendan will continue his Video Coach responsibilities while assuming Head Coaching duties, reporting directly to the President & GM to ensure consistency and accountability.

This internal promotion provides continuity while bringing fresh energy and perspective behind the bench.

Looking Ahead

With these changes comes renewed focus, a refined structure, and elevated expectations for both players and staff. The remainder of the season will bring new lines, new responsibilities, and a strong emphasis on standards, accountability, and execution.

We are excited about the direction of the program and confident in the group moving forward.

The work continues—let’s finish strong.
