The Venom HC U18 AAA program is excited to officially welcome Kamloops forward Joe Torrans to the roster for the 2025-26 season. Born in 2009, Joe joins the Venom with two extremely important developmental years ahead of him. These next seasons will be crucial as he works toward his long-term goal of earning a junior hockey opportunity. Our coaching staff strongly believes that with the right environment, support, and coaching, Joe has all the tools to take that next step.
What separates Joe from many of his peers is his elite-level speed — a true standout quality that gives him the ability to create separation, apply pressure, and impact the game in all three zones. He plays fast, thinks fast, and never takes a shift off. But beyond the wheels, it's his grit, compete level, and drive to be better every single day that made this decision an easy one for our program.

Joe is not just a skater — he’s a competitor. He thrives in tough areas, battles hard along the boards, and brings the kind of tenacity that sets the tone for his teammates. Despite being one of the younger players in our group, he shows natural leadership traits and a strong presence on and off the ice. He leads by example and holds himself accountable — two traits we value greatly.

“There’s a lot of raw potential in Joe’s game,” said the Venom HC President/GM Brady Douglas. “We’re excited to work with him over the next two seasons and help shape him into the complete player we know he can be. The speed is already there. Now it’s about refining his overall game, adding layers, and preparing him for the next level.”
Joe represents the kind of player we want in this program — hard-working, humble, and hungry. We’re thrilled to add him to the lineup and look forward to watching his development take off in the months ahead.
Welcome to Venom HC, Joe!
