Venom Hockey Club Welcomes Malachi Field to 19U AAA Program for 2026–27 Season
The Venom Hockey Club is proud to announce the official signing of forward Malachi Field to our 19U AAA program for the 2026–27 season.
Field, a dynamic 2009-born forward, joined Venom HC late in January from the Langley Hornets program and immediately made an impact. His arrival injected energy, competitiveness, and offensive upside into our lineup, playing a key role in our late-season surge and playoff push.

Standing at 6’0” and 150 pounds, Field brings a versatile offensive skillset, combining power-forward tendencies with a natural scoring touch. According to EliteProspects, he shoots right and has been identified as a player capable of impacting the game as an agitator, power forward, and sniper—highlighting his well-rounded and competitive style of play. Originally developed through the Maple Ridge minor hockey system, then into USA Hockey in Las Vegas, Field has steadily progressed through the ranks, earning opportunities at the U16 and U18 levels with the Langley Hornets before making the transition to Venom HC. His ability to adapt quickly to a new environment and contribute in meaningful moments speaks to both his character and hockey IQ.
“Malachi came in mid-season and immediately bought into our culture,” said Brady Douglas, President & GM of Venom HC AAA Programs. “He was a big part of our push down the stretch, and we’re excited to have him with us full-time next season. We believe he’s just scratching the surface of what he can become.”
Looking ahead to the 2026–27 campaign, Field is expected to take on a larger role within the Venom HC lineup. Wearing #9, he will be a key piece in the program’s continued development focus and competitive goals.
The organization sees significant upside in Field’s trajectory as he continues to pursue advancement opportunities at the Junior A and NCAA levels. With his combination of size, skill, and compete level, Venom HC believes he is positioned to take a major step forward in his development over the coming season.
Venom Hockey Club looks forward to supporting Malachi Field as he continues his path toward the next level.
